Styles and Impressions

Favoured styles and passions wax and wane with the passing years, burning bright then disappearing almost without trace, whilst others linger and periodically evolve into a deeper recognition and passion.

For a long time…

All things early 20th century and centred on the Wiener Werkstätte has been an abiding passion for many years with black and white checker motifs featuring extensively in design work  - see “A Roving Eye” carousel – whist at other times the influence is muted, almost imperceptible.

And now…

An interest in the skittish Gothick Revival has been a more recent indulgence and seems an effortless progression from the classy but over earnest Arts and Crafts which bore such fruit creatively a decade ago.
